Nohbutai Cafe Kagura

“Kamakura Nohbutai" continues the traditional performing art of "Noh" in the nature of Kamakura.
We opened a tea house [Kagura] overlooking the Noh stage as well as an outside seating area.
Located just steps from the famous Big Buddha of Kamakura, Hase Temple, known as the "Temple of Flowers," and Yuigahama Beach.

It it the perfect place for a short rest while exploring the town of Kamakura.

Our menu includes matcha green tea, Noh mask lattes, and seasonal Japanese sweets, etc.

We offer an authentic matcha (green tea) set with seasonal Japanese sweets selected by the Noh actor Kanta Nakamori.

Tea house customers may also enjoy the permanent exhibitions including authentic Noh costumes and masks as well as Noh videos.

Dogs are welcome on the outside seating area, so you may relax together.

You can even have your photo taken with the Noh stage in the background!

The signature dishes dish at the tea house are Café latte and Matcha latte with Noh mask art that are served in the hand-crafted dishes made by Kifumi Kawamura of KICHUYO kiln.

The KICHUYO Kiln is located in the quiet mountain side of Kita-kamakura.
These dishes are made in the wood fired climbing kiln originally built by renowned Kitaoji Rosanjin, and has been maintained by the Kawamura family.

Please enjoy a unique and relaxing time at the tea house.
